George Parry

George Parry is a writer, thinker & maker based in London. Having graduated with a BA Hons in Philosophy [Cardiff University] and then an MA in Design Expanded Practice [Goldsmiths UoL], their work spans the intersection of these disciplines on the themes of psychosexuality, normativity and kink-practices. They take an experimental material-lead approach to their literary and object-making practice that synthesises continental philosophy with latex, textiles and photography.

MXLKING is an experiment in embodied queerness. It is a psychological and embodied practice, thinking through making on milk, lactation and nursing practice in philosophical theory and design-based material visualities. Using a phenomenological, existentialist and material-lead approach, it explores situated care practices, psychosexuality, performativity and the biopolitics of commodification. It punctuates normativity and quenches the thirst for alternative queer worlds and modes of being. It sits alongside a publication; DEEP LIQUIDITY AND THE PHENOMENOLOGY OF LACTATION.
