If competitive sports evolved from war is putting more emphasis on masculinity, then when we are trying to reshape the Olympics from the perspective of women, should we abandon the competitive component of sports and build a sports culture that truly serves harmonious development of humankind?
In this project, I will focus on the following three questions:
Is Olympism good for gender-equality or bad?
Does Olympism (“higher, faster and stronger”) still fit the world?
If not, what will it be like?
To answer these questions, I am creating a new concept — Future Olympism, dedicating to re-imagine and re-create sports from the perspective of women, trying to think from the other extreme — What if the olympic games no longer be competitive sports?
