A.FROG.A. POT’ unfolds under two themes of ‘FROG OF THE WELL’, and ‘UNIVERSE IN THE POT’. Inspired by the concept of big dumb objects in science fiction.

Through the installation and the video, the author attempts to create a conflict or to say a contrast, allowing the viewer to bring themselves into two types of state, a giant object or a tiny speck of dust, by switching between gazing and being gazed at, to perceive a perspective that they have never had as human beings.

The work here starts from the author’s personal thoughts and emotions toward big dumb objects, expanding by research into philosophy and psychology. The aim of this project is never to seek an explanation or solution, but rather to merely explore,in the same way that the protagonists in sci-fi novels aspire to unknown civilizations.
