The contemporary space is no longer a natural geographical concept, but rather an “artificial” social space comprised of human behaviours and relationships. When you enter the space, you are actively shaping its connection to the environment.
Cabinet Of Choice acts as a visual metaphor for New York City. It is shaped like the Empire State Building and consists of six drawers. The drawers represent all of the desires and wishes people bring with them when they move to New York City. While all the drawers have the potential to be filled, they do not all open. When you pull out the bottom drawer, the mechanism activates, causing the other drawers to shift their positions. This epitomizes how each person impacts the next, forcing social and environmental evolution.
